Unlimited Text Message

What can you do with text message?
Contacting your friend when you can't really talk?
OK, then what can you do with unlimited text message?
Well, in order to make the extra bucks that you pay each month worth, there have to be some other things that you can utilize text messages for.
Of course, you can contact your friends with it A LOT. But they have to be paying unlimited text message and doesn't mind you bothering them constantly just because you want to make the money worth. Besides, do you really have that many things to talk about?

Actually, there are a lot of things that you can do with text message nowadays. Since "unlimited text" has become a must-have feature, many things are now available at your finger tips.

1) Google SMS (46645 or 466453)
Well, it's not as powerful as the Google engine itself of course, but it sure would be helpful sometimes. You can check definition of a word, direction, the weather, movie and else.

2) Email/Text
You can actually send text message to an email account. I've tried myself and I know that gmail and hotmail can successfully receive the text message I sent from my phone. Of course, if text message can be received through emaill account, you can also reply and send back to the phone.
Your phone's email address will differ from your phone provider. Some major providers' address are listed below:
AT&T: [your 10 digit number]@txt.att.net
T-mobile: [your 10 digit number]@tmomail.net
Verizon: [your 10 digit number]@vtext.com
Sprint: [your 10 digit number]@messaging.sprintpcs.com

3) Facebook
You can actually do a lot on Facebook through text message. To get started, send "f" (without quotation) to 32665. Wait for the confirmation code to be sent back. Then, go to Facebook -> Settings -> Mobile -> Already receive a mobile confirmation code? Then just type in your confirmation code. You'll be all set after setting your preference. I seldom use it cause I still like to see the pictures and stuff. To me, the benefit of it is not so much to "facebook" on my phone, but to get immediate notification if someone is trying to contact me through Facebook.

4) All the other stuff
Like plurk, twitter and else. Here is a website that provides this kinda service for free: http://ping.fm. It includes a lot of social networks that you can think of. I believe there are a lot of other websites that provide this too. Find your own favorite. I don't use this much, but it sure can be useful if you are the kind of person who enjoys sharing your current status anytime, anywhere (ps. xxxx is sitting on the toilet)

These probably are not all, but they are all that I use/used. So, don't pay your text message for nothing. Make use of it!
